| Carol Gilligan is Patricia Albjerg Graham Professor of Gender Studies at Harvard University. Her book, "In a different voice" (1982), which compares the process by which men and women come to moral decisions, drew attention to a scandal in the world of psychology: the fact that most of the accounts of human development current at that time were based on all-male sampales. Since that time she has co-authored many books, including "Meeting at the crossroads" (1992), a study of girls and the suppression of their ability to voice what they know. She is currently working on a book about love and writing fiction. | |
